Starting January 1st, 2021, we will be handing out awards based on new higher folding badge thresholds. These new values have been decided due to the increase of power a GPU can provide; this has made it much easier to achieve badges in recent years. Anyone holding a current badge will be grandfathered in! This means you won't have your badge downgraded after the new thresholds come into effect.    F@H Badge Thresholds In order to be rewarded with the Folding @ Home badge, please

BTW if you have Win 7 license keys those work too on Win10

Try restarting whole PC. Otherwise if that doesn't work, I'd try reinstalling F@H with newest version available.

 

It looks to me like you just ran folding at home control panel but not the app.

As mentioned above, the easy attempts would be to restart the computer, and then re-install the app if that doesn't work.

 

What is actually happening is either that the background process that does the work isn't running, or the control can't communicate with it.  The later could easily happen if you've done extra lockdowns with firewalls and the like…which based on seeing privacy focused apps like Brave and whatsapp…is a reasonable possibility.

I've gotten at least 5 Win 10 keys from kinguin for $30

 

It's more than all the other prices listed so far but way better than $100 and I have five confirmations it works

I've been using Mico$oft products since MS-BASIC back in the late 70s. I don't begrudge giving the Redmond crew $100 for an OEM copy of the Operating System and factor that into the cost of building a new system. I've even been able to transfer OEM keys from pre-builts bought for the kids to newer hardware. Yes, it's a pain, yes it does seem expensive today, but I can also remember paying way more for Windows95 when it was released and a small fortune on Windows NT Workstation when it was the only stable solution.

Thanks.  I uninstalled the programs and there was no luck.  I had to reset to factory settings and re-install F@H as nothing else would work.

I have one windows 7 key that was given to me many years ago that is installed and activated on 20+ machines lol

 

Now windows has ads I have no intentions of ever paying for a key.

I installed fah on my laptop way long ago. I left it running for all that time, wondering why it was so slow. I've gotten 33 million points on the default team.
