my 2080's have been getting back to back 2.5M WU's. which boosts my rig from about 4M output to over 5M, which is nice!

meanwhile the 2080Ti in my server hs been doing around 4M aswell.

How is everyones power usage, I'm seeing about a 100W more power over the 4 cards I run. Temps are slightly up too.

EDIT: Yes, I use power limiting on most of my cards

The new Nvidia CUDA core is exciting with the change to PPD performance.   I have added a historical chart to the PPD DB pages for cards active over the past 12 weeks so you can see the change in PPD as we move forward in to folding month.

Many NVidia cards are starting to moon rocket this week.  Sample below is a GTX 1070 pulling 1.2 Mil this week compared to about 800k last week. https://folding.lar.systems/folding_data/gpu_ppd_datasheet?gpu_model=gp104_geforce_gtx_1070_6463

I'm seeing no change. I'm at 80% power limit my 2060's are runing at 130w my 2060 supers are at 135w that is the same as before cuda.

Yeah, it is a shame, my 2080 Super is in a 3950X system so no CPU folding on that and when there is stock of the EVGA FTW3 3080 Ultra I will remove the 2080 Super and chuck 2 in my system.

I have a 2070 in a ryzen 1200 build and it only hits around 25% usage, so I guess I could run 3 2070 off a ryzen 1200, so I would have thought a 3950x be able to support many powerful gpu's and fold.

news just in - london man accidentally creates small nuclear reactor while folding on a vega64

Are you the new Florida man?

Also finally opened up the web client version for LAR's data tracking as well as installing an Nvidia driver. As it turns out I've apparently been running ITNOS for a while now with no Nvidia drivers (monitor is using the iGPU in the 4460)

I also seem to have a bump in the number of WU's I've gotten since applying the driver update last night, but it's hard to tell. I'll also need to go check the power draw on the cards as both are set to 60% right now (65C max temps as well, but cards rarely pass 61 c for the top card) with +150mhz offsets

The idea behind setting the power limit to 80% is that you  get a better PPD/Kwh. With a 80% power limit you lower the power draw on the card but it has no noticiable inpact on PPD.

Of course, but did you measure wattage before and after setting the power limit, is the card actually using 20% less power?

Side note, anyone have a surge in  very small WU's around 9pm? I believe I have BETA Wu's on, so maybe that was it?

Normal power draw for a 2060 is 160w for a 2060 super it's 175w so yes they are.

Ok

8700k - 2080s

100% pl

10% cpu usage

GPU 240w

3.5 ppd

80% pl

10% cpu usage

GPU 220w

3.4 ppd

Thats almost 30w over 80% for me.

Edit:

50% pl looks to around 130w, so close enough, and thats 2.7ppd.

Seems PL has no effect on cpu usage.

I'd noticed the 6pm and 9pm numbers I was guessing it was one of they cases points go missing for a little while. I don't have beta set but I do have advanced set.

That'd be a fun way to do a F@H Folding Month call out video.  Considering both team green and red are on board with F@H now too, they'd probably both have reasonable sponsor options for it too.

2 weeks is a bit short tough to get both teams on board for a sponsorship.

still, a official shout couldn't hurt.
