Seems I have been lucky, those dips are caused mainly by gaming...

I agree, hopefully a trend in optimized work makes the old amazing, the new average.   Until the next batch of super hard work units change it all again.

EDIT: 2070 should get you 1.1 Million PPD on average https://folding.lar.systems/folding_data/gpu_ppd_datasheet?gpu_model=tu106_geforce_rtx_2070_m_6497

Make sure you have a passkey entered in your client https://foldingathome.org/support/faq/points/passkey/  you will not get the full point rewards without it.

I even just got a new passkey now. I've had the same passkey for 25 mil points now. I recieve 200k avg. Seems odd to me, that it hasn't kicked in yet at all?

Your passkey still hasn't kicked in yet then if you even requested one. 2070 should be 1M+ IIRC.

CPU won't get you more than 100-200k but it's good to fold with it too as there are some WUs which are only for CPU.

Fastest way to get A LOT of points is to use cloud folding or buy best GPU (soon to be 3080/3090) or now cheap 2080/2080S/2080Ti used.

Well if you got a "new passkey" you start at 0 again. Need to always use the same.

0 points, 0 WU, and having to get your 10-20 successful WUs before you get your QRB. It's a new account basically.

Luckily my total amount is still good. Can't find the mail i wanted, but total amount is what counts for me :P Now i just wait to get the 1 mil avg points. Do i have to leave it running 24/7 in order to get those points or just simply hope for an "order", going for the 1 mil?

The QRB enables once you've done X amount of work units successfully.  You don't need to run 24/7 to do that, but you don't want to fail a WU from taking too long or the like either.  So if you're going to not use it for more than a work day or overnight, press the "finish" button ahead of time first, so it'll complete the WU and then halt.  Then when you're ready to go again, hit start.

My 2070s usually runs 1.7-2 mil PPD.

I'm looking at your recent PPD https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=1022250  unless you have multiple devices on the go looks like you are at 600k on the average with spikes in the 1Mil range I would expect.

Daily Points Production History For Eviac

It also looks like you're not folding 24/7, so that level of variance would look normal... and the 200k your mentioning would be for a single WU not your all day PPD as seen when you look at the hourly breakdowns as a 2070 .

image.png.83c51ff16d78608bc93b569b2e69d391.png

Do you only have this one card running?  Do you fold all day or is it set to idle, or gaming, medium power etc?

Edit: Oh.. and are you folding on the CPU as well?  Cause that can bottleneck the GPU folding to the point that you loose significant GPU PPD making CPU folding pointless on certain hardware.

been doing some practice runs to test system stability for the upcoming F@H event. with everything running i should be able to see 7M PPD sometimes!

to me that's mindblowing, coming from only 3 GPU's. tough i guess with the RTX 3xxx cards this could pretty soon be single GPU numbers.

PSA: 13434 WU's are freakin' wild.

one of my 2080's is currently pulling over 5.4M. it even climbed to 5.6M after this screenshot!

that's almost a 300% increase over normal PPD!

I think it is going to be some time until we see these new cards working at their full penitential, even now 2080tis can often end up not being fully utilised due to the fact most WUs are not large enough simulations to fully put them to work.

However, once the 30 series has been in the wild for a while it is going to be interesting to see just how much more they can do, as in, we could see simulation sizes balloon like never before, akin to the old and now depreciated big-adv WUs that were released for early high core count CPUs.

Nice, great they can be used for a good cause.

I also managed to get my hands on one, but I cheated and didn't need luck. I know a guy that knows a guy that works at a distributor 😉, but it had to be a AIB model and my choices were limited so I ended up with the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity.
