Seeing as how I only just bought 2 x 2060 supers I don't see any more new GPUs for me any time soon "she who must be obayed" will never go for it. ☹️

Hey mate, you did good, we should not aim for highest PPD only. We use what we have and the good cause is what drive us. I also bought 2070 super recently, price drop will be huge. I don't mind, I will just keep folding. :D

About variations on PPD, I seem to have some points correction on August 28th , otherwise, some vairations consistant with days I get some low-atom count protein taking a long time to fold on my RX5700XT. On Lar.system 's extension, I seem to have "gain" a rank in overall PPD production at the same time. So Honestly don't  knrow what to make of it.

Maybe it's the Moonshot variations that caused it? I have seen on the lower side of PPD, but nothing that made the daily prediction go under 1 million ppd.

Edit: Sorry I could'nt help pinpoint more the variation  some of you noticed.

yup, things a bit down here too. I was re-arranging some things on the weekend which accounts for some of the drop but I suspect there’s some not as good as the moonshot WUs out there.

PS. Can you guess when electricity’s cheapest here.

You should leave 1 thread for each Nvidia card you have in your system.

As you can see in my comment. I clearly only have 1 :)But since the forum itself has told that it's better to have multiple CPU running (threads), and having even numbers of CPU's running. I then figured the sweet spot for temps, as i don't wanna dmg my CPU. I could be wrong tho? Is it really that much better to have as many threads running as possible, while maintaining temps and even threads?

If you have HFM you can easily track which projects are being completed on your network. The past week I've noticed P13424 is yielding 20% less than P13422 across my 3 cards and account for most of the WUs completed. Otherwise no major fluctuations to note after the snafu a few weeks ago.

Oh no Nvidia are out producing us. I think they are cheating and using new 3000's cards before anyone else has them.

Hardly possible, unless they consulted and gave samples to F@H so they can make it work. Not sure if you remember but newer AMD cards couldn't fold for quite some time after release...

Yah I know just joking, but they did give F@H a good shoutout so you never know. 🙂

They most likely did given that they've been using F@H as a marketing tool these past months.

Will it not be possible to fold on these new cards at all?

I was hoping they would work to some degree, just not to there full potential.

You will be able to but not right away it will take F@H some time to get things setup for them.

ok something strange is up with my 1660, it seems to be the only GPU (out of 7) to not be getting work units, and in 2 different systems... going to see if putting it in the first slot fixes it 🤷‍♂️

so as it turns out my 1660s is as dead as my hopes and dreams, going to see if gigabyte'll maybe let me preorder a 3080 instead of getting a replacement

edit: assuming they accept my RMA request... presumably they will

I've noticed something wierd about about project 16918 WU.  I'm running 2 x 2060 set to power limit 80% and normally the power % looks like GPU1 on the screen cap below. For some reason P16918 WU have the power levels jumping up and down a lot more than normal as seen on GPU2. Anyone any idea what might be the reason for this ?

I've had that project 3 times now and it's done the same thing each time. I'm just waiting to get the project on the other card and see if it behaves the same way. When I 1st noticed it I was worried some was wrong with the card.

Well, that's embarrassing.  Due to my laziness, and since my name was unlikely to collide with someone else's, I never set up a passkey.  I didn't realize that the QRB was only available to those that had set up one.  Well, now I know why my ~150K PPD RX5700, rather than ~1M PPD, was a thing.

D'oh!
