Also, I think my single 8GB DIMM on my main system may be causing issues here....

Chrome is using 3.5GB alone...

Just go with Manjaro

I've never used Manjaro but I'm not sure how that would help me with AMD not releasing closed source 20.04 drivers yet and the open source drivers not having OpenCL? That's an AMD issue that should be Linux version agnostic. Heck they're just NOW getting kernel support out for some of the power sensors in the Ryzen CPU's!

I think I can install JUST the OpenCL bits from the closed driver but I haven't had luck with that just yet, so I'll just wait till the 20.04 driver releases or grab another cheap P106 (they're getting to be around $50 more commonly now) or see how 1660 prices drop since that's my more ideal card. I'd like to be at under 200W and around 800k-1mil PPD long term to keep creeping up the ranks and build a lead ;) I'm at a little over 250W right now since I'm running 2 systems and also I'm tying up a whole nother computer and the hassle of having more working parts to worry about in the basement.

Cause you don't need 20.04 drivers on Manjaro, or previous Ubuntu distros.

Just follow this guide

I was originally trying to run this all on Xubuntu 20.04, hence needing the currently non existent 20.04 drivers. But if this works simply with Manjaro then I'll give that a whirl later this week/weekend. I just want a 'set it and forget it' box.

Also I think that explains my broken xorg issues with the 18.04 driver maybe, but it's odd because I installed that amdgpu-pro on one machine trying to get a R7250 to fold and had no issues, then with a RX580 had broken xorg. AMD drivers it seems, be it Windows or Linux, are just...an issue.

Can anyone folding with a RTX 2060 check the Advanced Control and see how the card is reported in the Description for me please.

Does it say ""Geforce RTX 2060" with a lowercase "f" or does it have an uppercase "F" ?

Mine have a "f" and it seems to be messing up LAR_system web control extention. Is anyone else have the same problem ?

Yes I know but I'm just wondering if I have a screwed up F@H GPUs.txt file or if it's the same for everyone. Mine shows -

"0x10de:0x1f08:2:7:TU106 [Geforce RTX 2060]"

It's the only GeForce card I could find that has a lowercase "f" for some reason.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but if we get another shortage of WUs due to huge amount of processing power (not that it will happen again as a lot has changed), they made this change in 7.6.11:

Quote

 v7.6.11

The lowercase f shows up on the regular TU106 entry for 2060 in the GPU files on a few of my test machines so it's not just you.

Shit, gotta remember to open this up on ITNOS so you can get 1070ti data (even if they are under powered and overclocked)
