Record time for the folding rig, just hit 21 days of uptime. Thinking of purchasing a Kraken G12 and throwing in my left over H100i v2 to keep GPU temps from hitting my temp limit. Should increase production by 1-200k per day as well, assuming I can pump the clock speeds back up.

So use the H100i v2 as a GPU Block and the G12 to cool the VRM? For $33US not a bad deal as it should get you a 2-3 bins boost on Pascal depending on how hot your GPU is running now with the lower thermals

 

If you were looking at buying a G12 AND a AIO I would think those funds might be better spent towards another GPU for folding but if this is a rig also used for gaming it could be fun.

Umm, I know next to nothing about watercooling but I did take a look again at the NZXT G12 and noticed that it appears to want a round water block and the H100i appear to be not supported and square so likely won’t work without some heavy modding to the G12 and possibly an intermediate plate to reduce its footprint.

The actual mounting piece is under the square part, that's just a plastic cover. The pump is a standard pump from asetek and uses a standard mount, that's why it's supports more than just NZXT AIOs

 

All those tabs on the side of the pump/block is what it uses to mount to the socket.

just played through anthem and had some instable WU's happen, so my PPD has been on a steady decline.

 

i feel like we need another foldingmonth / foldathon to keep us in the high production numbers

We seem to be setting in at around 80-85MPPD. If we drop below 70MPPD then we will never get ahead of the team one spot ahead of us.

i've been getting a lot of crashes and black screens recently. tried reinstalling F@H and DDU'd my drivers, tough nothing seemed to help.

just reinstalled windows, hope this does the trick!

Hm, this might be what's happening to me. My recent point to WU ratio has been seriously shitting the bed, with numbers inexplicably low. So unless they introduced a lot of new low point yield WUs, that's the only explanation. I'll try turning my clocks down a bit and see if that changes anything.

update: reinstalling windows made things worse. like, a lot workse.

right now i'm getting a perfect POST, tough when it loads windows it shits itself imediately.

 

i'll try reinstalling windows one more time, tough i'm afraid this might be hardware failure after all. RIP Titan?

It's the 2016 model, so not very young. Tough it sucks that a 1200 euro card only lasted about 3 years

guess time will tell if the card really died tho.

I guess, tough I got this card secondhand in November 2016, and I dunno about warranty on secondhand units. 

 

I reinstalled windows again and rght now it's running through several runs of superposition, and it's doing just fine. I don't know why?

I'll try reinstalling F@H one more time to see if it can handle it.

Update: it's been running for about 45 minutes now and it hasn't crashed yet.

somehow my PPD is way low tough, even for stock clocks. it's getting about 50% of what it should be getting.

Yeah that's low. One of my 1060 6GB got 41,339 (595,430PPD) on a 14158 recently; RTX 2060 50,931 (1,128,313 PPD); 1070 Ti 47,414 (890,551PPD) so that is a big WU but I'd expect a Titan X to out perform the 1070 Ti at least.

 

I believe you mentioned it's got a water block. How are the temps?

Notice that all the circled dates are Tuesdays, and they are all basically the lowest of each week. Strange. Any theories?

temps are about 45-50C when folding stock, 55-59C when pushing a high overclock.

for watercooling they are pretty high, tough that's because it's a very small dual GPU system it's running in.

yep, all running gen 3 X16 with lanes coming straight from my 1920X.

Well, there's always patch Tuesday…which isn't just MS, but many games and such as well.  You seem to drop the day prior and often after as well though.
