Double check your firewall settings. This is something I see when I lose internet connection so it sounds like something is blocking the send traffic.

It's the only one not sending lol... It might have actually sent but never got cleaned up. It'll time out in 2 days so... I'm not overly all worried about it.

I'm currently in the process of fixing the jumbled user data from the glitch a few days ago.

First thing I did was delete all new users (and the historical data) that were created since the '2018-10-21 18:00:00' update. That removed ~50,000 of the duplicate accounts that were created by the case changes.

Second, I'm going through each team and deleting any names (and historical data) that match on a case-insensitive basis. I'm eliminating the one with less points, regardless of when each account was created. This is due to how Stanford has changed handling some names. This is going to be a very very small percentage of users affected. These duplicates are in the flat-file due to email addresses being stripped out of user names, and by sheer accident a 'duplicate' name can occur within a team, even though the two accounts have no relation at all.

After dupes get deleted I need to alter the database to make the User_Name collation case insensitive. To be safe I'm going to export the table, make the change to the field, then import the data back. It doesn't take long.

I've altered my code now to match user names on a case-insensitive basis. I also removed the logic about merging points from duplicate names. I only take the first / highest points unique (case insensitive) name. The other one (or more) gets left out. In 99% of the cases the second one is usually inactive and only has a few points. Like I said these were holdovers back when people would use their email address for their username. This will also fix the issue where some of the names were out-of-order on the individual overall rankings.

I've got the next update (3-PM) on hold while the dupes are being deleted. I will manually run the update once everything is completed and in-place. Hopefully by the 6PM update everything will be back to automatic.

Stanford should just ask Jason at EOC to do the stats for them. Folding is addictive enough but his presentation of the data is just pure nerd eye candy

You do know it's some simple php/js charts right?

That said it reduces strain on their side by letting EOC use a API once ever 3 hours and letting them manipulate the data for users.

Yeah that sounds about right.  Maybe more like 700K, especially if you can push it

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

If you are using the web control some people experienced this error when Stanford’s servers weren’t available. There have been issues with the Stanford stats servers off and on for a week or so.

if you are using the web control and having this issue then the solution appears to be to use the Advanced control app to run and monitor folding.

That’s the advanced control saying it can’t connect to the client on the localhost

Either windows firewall has blocked the port or, more likely, you just need to restart the Folding client.

Guys, we've stripped out folding names that don't exist in either Stanford or EOCs database, If you don't see your name on the list below can you please go fill out the form again and Message me so I can flag it then it doesn't get deleted again.

Can you link this form? Don't see it in the OP. I've folded at least a few million points over last few days and Im no where on that leaderboard. Folding name is same as my forum name.

I've got my Ryzen 1700x , two r9 furys, two rx480s, and temporarily a gtx 1070 folding. I had the 480s laying around and thought I had enough parts to put together another PC as my PCI-E slots were full from my Furys.

Rig is an Athlon X2 B22 dual core, somehow working fine with DDR3 1333 ECC server memory on a consumer AM3+ board. Running Windows 10. The CPU is cooled by a copper block (just sitting on top, no mounting pressure )I took from a 10 year old PC, and I couldn't find my thermal paste so I used toothpaste. I'm simply pointing a fan on it. It works and stays cool, staying at 50% CPU load folding on the 480s. It took the system like 4 hours (at 100% load) to update windows before it let me install GPU drivers.

Overall setup:
