I7 8700k High temps with water cooling

I have the  i7 8700K with ASRock Taichi Z370 run @ 4.700 4400 Voltage Auto using large good made water cooling CPU Temp  it reach 80 - 83 when running P95 standard temp 22-48

I have tried many ways also upgrade to XSPC RayStorm Pro WaterBlock, it did not work. I give up trying. I am still not sure about i7 8700K if it will be able to run at low temp with p95 while cpu running  at 4.700 but will run ok at basic speed 3.700 Temp 60-63.

is that with all cores enabled under load and at what voltage?

Yes it is, Voltage was Auto I think max goes up to 1.36v-1.380. It works fine when lower Voltage to 1.135 as fixed temp 68-73

Just bought an 8700k myself and I find everyone using auto voltages is complaining about bad TIM or "my CPU runs to hot". 

 

I tried it the good old way:

• AUTO voltages and my aimed core speed-> look what the board uses and drop it
• use lowered but fixed voltages -> try reducing it as much as possible

So now my CPU is on 48 all cores and not even touching 60°C after hours of gaming. After 1 hour P95 its around 65°C sometimes touching 70°C (22° ambient).

 

Proves for me: nothing has changed till 5 years ago, AUTO is always easy but more wearing on your hardware.

People should start posting what their VID is vs their actual vote. It might not be auto, but instead intel has set these chips to over-volt more so than other generations.
