Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

I dunno what that is because it won't load but NO! YOU BROKE THE UNSPOKEN RULE OF EXACT NUMBERS!

I'd throw in a fractionally more restrictive intake to make it even lol

Currently interested in a MX-5 NB that just arrived at the Peugeot dealer I currently work. 7000€, from 2005, only 65000km on the clock.

Insurance would also be surprisingly low for a convertible with a cloth roof. Mhhhhhmmm...

I love the NB's. My favorite of the Miatas :)

Do it!

Yeah, I really like it too, only thing that bothers me is the tan interior with the fake wood steering wheel and accents.

I'm gonna talk to the sales man tomorrow and just calculate everything through and base my decision on that.

Quick, someone post something that has 1100 HP.

Brace for Supras.

Nah, we're better than that.

HKS GT1000+ Demo car, rated at 1200 PS (1184 hp) but runs less boost at events.

I would be happy to dyno a few and test drive them to find one that makes exactly 1.100 xD

It is a Zenvo

How the hell to you have a 2000hp engine not just detonate after a few miles..

Welcome to rally, where any error = big boo boo!

Incredible how violent some of those crashes are (much worse than other forms of motorsport, IMO) and yet most of them still walk away from it.

Well that's no fun... I want to drive it at redline for 50 miles and see what happens.

I like all MX-5's, but the one that's now on the lot happens to be a NB :D

~~

Because some of the twistier tracks don't need it, and Nob. Taniguchi wants to go home without becoming a big fireball :P Still an impressive car though, would definitely take a HKS GT800 car over an AMS Alpha 12 any day.

I said I'd rather be a non-car guy instead of a ricer.

You understand the difference between a tuner/gear head and a ricer right?  Or are you saying "ricer" in terms of someone who likes Japanese cars?

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!

Shenanigans I say!

One of Freiburgers daily drivers is a 1600 horse F-bomb camaro from them^^

Getting a high power engine to be reliable is not too difficult if you know how all parts of the engine work together.

ZyZM5rt.png

Recepie for a 2700hp race gas engine^^

You'd have to be incredibly anal about tolerances and cleanliness though

Lol, you wouldn't make it 50 miles driving it like that. The amount of heat produced by the combustion when making that kind of power will melt the pistons at prolonged WOT operation.

But drive it right and it can last quite a long time. ;)
