Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 100k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

26 minutes ago, Drak3 said:

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Some of you may already know this but fun fact! The Miata was ALMOST front wheel drive.

Also heres what the front wheel drive concept looked like:

Been lurking this thread for a while now, figured I'd stop in and say hi!

My truck is nothing special, dirt cheap '97 Toyota Tacoma base model rescued from 225k miles worth of pool repair duty. 4cyl, 5 speed. It's not quick at all, but surprisingly fun to drive! Im too tall to comfortably fit in a Miata, though I did have one for some time and loved it.

Been a car guy for most of my life, just too poor to foot the gas bill for something pretty like a 61 caddy.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, CoolerMaster, GSkill (RAM only)

The problem is, the only thing that gets bashed up isn't the quarter panels...

For example (can't quite tell if that's an S chassis, but anyway)

And btw, S chassis AREN'T drift cars. They're CARS. And you can do whatever you want with them, be it turning it into a lowrider or bash it up on a drift track...

That's why you see a car turned into many different things. Be it an S chassis lowrider, an offroad 911, a stanced Forester or a track built Honda Logo.

Upgraded intercooler and downpipe are going on. Bit of cutting needed for the interncooler, it's a big-un. Should be good for around 400HP after a tune :D

Today I learned the tiny car battery in my Miata has an actual capacity of only 18,750 mAH.

Making it legit smaller than some USB lithium battery packs you can buy. Lol

apparently the avg small car battery is 45AH. So it really is as tiny as it looks...

Why buy a cheap one now if you're going to buy a better one later? Why not start saving now and buy the better one sooner and not waste the money on the cheap one now and delay the purchase of the better one? Also why would you want a cheap (low quality) dash cam in the first place? The point of a surveillance camera is to capture useful evidence when something happens, if you have useless low quality footage (yep that was a dark colored blob with some lights on it that hit me officer!) it won't be helpful.

if you ever watch the first 48 tv show, countless times the video surv is junk and unusable

All fitted and trim back on, basically looks stock still even though the intercooler is about 2x the volume of the OEM one.
