1.6 N/A Manual like mine but everything about driving it is so much nicer than the C2. Everything gives you a feeling whereas mine feels like youre driving with a controller on forza

Prices here arent too bad, a decent 182 is about £3k, 197 about £4k and a 200 about £6k

He's fine with selling me his twingo for abour £2k, insurance is <£1k and tax is half as much as the Clio's so it makes way more sense

so I autocrossed a mazdaspeed 3 today..

It was quite a fun car! He had it set up really well and I found it enjoyable. The course this time was very complex, much more so than usual so that made things interesting lol

 

torque steer? Honestly when you’re autoX’ing it, it’s not bad. But if you’re say doing a pull on the street, you notice for sure, it loves to pull the wheel to the right. But really for autoX it wasn’t too bothersome. The biggest bother for me was the turbo @MEC-777. Just it was far from immediate... I didn’t like it, when the boost would come on it would like to spin the front tires... it made slaloming with smooth power difficult. (Though I’m sure on a track it would be fine)

 

Overall pretty good day... I (Braxton) beat the owner (Chris Wooster, an older Englishman. Super nice and a good driver, just had a bad day it seemed lol)

I've driven the first gen MS3 a few years back in autoX. And yeah, it's laggy. Didn't like it either. My golf and my friend's Chevy HHR SS turbo were both far better in terms of a wide boost threshold, quick spool time and "useable power".

I got to ride in a K24 swapped NB miata on hoosiers today as well. 

my god that thing was quick.. it had a few extra bits and made 240hp to the wheels but sheeesh that thing felt sooo fast. 

the owner also told me he actually had looked into the V6 swap but the k swap was a much better put together kit (hence why its more expensive) and just overall quality is way better so that's what he went with. 

 

But literally felt like we were taking off in a jet on an aircraft carrier off the line lol, I remember my head hitting the rollbar during takeoff because he had NA seats in his (which have basically no headrest). Glad I had a helmet on lol

 

he was also a really good driver. gosh that thing was quick... id get in soooo much trouble if mine had one of those lol
