Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

That "small"  part might still be enough to get a life time supply of brown.

East Texas looks pretty nice on a satellite image though.

In case you're wondering the distance to green, this is it.

East Texas is amazingly beautiful, a really great place to visit.

537 kms,  that's not too bad then. Like a trip to Northern parts of Middle-Finland.

Texas has been one of my want to go places ever since my grandparent visited there.  Too bad I don't have the time and money to do so.

Remember that's maybe a quarter of the trip through.

It's really nice, San Antonio has some good places to go, Dallas is generally nice, Austin is a fantastic mix of things (the people are kinda snobby about how good Austin is though).

Yeah,  I know.  But at least I have some idea of the distance.  I don't live in one of those Peanut sized countries.

Can you go to a shooting range and rent a gun,  or sth like that?

I would so want to do that while I'm in the land of guns and freedom besides sightseeing.

Thankfully. :D

Yes there are a lot of ranges here you can go to for instruction and fun. They'll have somebody there to walk you through how the range operates and what you can rent and such.

Sounds like fun.  I havent shot a round since the army.  Which is too little because it's really fun.

Instruction is pretty good too as I've never been to a public range.

I need to stop thinking of things I can't afford :D

You'd go broke here, 12 gauge, .223, and 9mm are dirt cheap. They're literally selling buckets of 9mm at the gun store near me.

I don't know what the price is here.

And tbh don't even know where to look because it's so hidden.

Hiding it doesn't really do any good.

It just  makes it hard for responsible people to own them.

The army would like that reservists  had an easier time owning guns.  But the government isn't really onboard. Neither is the EU.

We need to have a lot more serious training and licensing to own guns here. I don't have a problem with firearms you just need to continually show you're a competent owner.

That's actually a pretty high price. I usually buy 9mm around 20 cents per round.

those are still pretty darn skinny (saying this as my protege has the same exact width tires), and they mustn't be that grippy, are they?

and is your clutch even able to handle that abuse?

Clutch is holding up well, no slipping or anything. It is pretty new after all.

But my tires aren't really super grippy, they're just some Yokohamas.

Holy cow. I only have to dump at 3k or so

same size tires. Same size engine even... just newer

yours might have more weight over the back tho. Mines more 50/50... I think the whole 50:50 thing is a Miata thing

Mid engine so yeah. Plus I start making power way up in the rev range, low end the TVIS hasn't even opened the second valve set yet.

im just curious as to how the engine can drive the injectors. because i've never seen mechanical injectors, just electrical ones on EFI gas cars.

Indirectly driven by the the engine via hydraulic means, fuel pressure is created in the fuel pump then the force of the pressurised fuel pushes past some tiny channels in the injector which forces the injector needle open.

The one I really want is the 530i but I am open to the 520i and 525i. The mileage I am aiming for is between 60-70,000 miles. The thing has to be spotless inside, outside, engine bay and underneath. At the end of the day I'm going to save around £2.5-3,000 and see what is on the market, I should have one by around October maybe November this year.
