all I know is on small 4 cylinder cars, I rather have some form of boost than no boost at all...

I know what you mean with the whole "lag" thing. I'm just so tired of the term/concept being misused and misunderstood. For example; someone will say "oh, there's so much lag in this car." while driving it with the engine outside the boost threshold, when in actuality, that same car can build boost with almost no lag while driving with the engine within the boost threshold. So in truth; it has very little lag, yet is said to be "laggy". It's very misleading if you don't understand the nature of how turbos operate. 

Yeah, not sure who makes them, but I know they're out there..

 

boost thresholdy just doesn't have the same ring to it as laggy. Haha

In my opinion the 2 terms should be flipped

Just cannibalize any european style motorhome - boom, easy frame and plenty of engine. Driving controls are easy enough to move around and you can convert to fly by wire if necessary.

 

If you look hard enough, even some USDM manufacturers have frames custom made to order. This one's a Freightliner.

For autocross, the GT2554. Get on the boost early, quick and hard. ;) 

 

Rotrex won't make anywhere near as much jam down lower where you need it for autocross.

Because I know theres a chance it hasnt been posted, Porsches new GTE car has the engine shifted in front of the rear axle and the gearbox where the engine used to be. This allows for a much better CG and better aero package overall.

well i mean honda doesn't have a turbodiesel option, because well, honda doesn't really have experience with diesel engines.

I mean, I like my stock turbo on my Saab. But more boost would be more fun. I love how torquey it is for a 4 banger though

Because I know theres a chance it hasnt been posted, Porsches new GTE car has the engine shifted in front of the rear axle and the gearbox where the engine used to be. This allows for a much better CG and better aero package overall.

so essentially the optimal 911 configuration. Shame they wont change the rear engine design.
