Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Someone owns a Saab now, a Saab with a dead battery, any suggestion son a battery for a 2000 saab 9-5? Reverse lights stick on so gotta fix the reverse relay as well but for 2400 it was well worth the investment

wait, what?! O_O

the prelude guy ends up in a saab haha

Just go get a battery at a auto parts store? their warranties aren't too bad these days. That's what I normally do. Though the miata has a special sealed battery and idk if they have those... I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

But the Model T is just odd

The battery should just be your garden variety optima or somesuch.

How scratched up is the steering column on the "key" side? xD

you have to get a license to drive a manual over there? wow lol

Me? I just jumped in a manual car knowing nothing lol

There was one at AutoX yesterday.. heres a pic:

\\

Those things are quick. Everyone he was competing against hated him lol

One guy who always wins his class in a mazdaspeed3 said that was his next car after seeing the matching times and he was on better tires, and had modifications. The RS was stock.

So yeah... great AutoX car thats for sure.

Yeah the RS is definitely what the STI should have been, and what the Golf R should be at a lower price. Dont know how well it handles a track day / autox as Ive been hearing stuff about the fade and heat soak.

The one I posted is from NV Auto; its their shop demo car and they plan on dumping a lot of mods into it and see how far they can push it. They're subaru specialists, so theyk now a thing or two about 4cylinder turbo cars. :P

Well its for people that can't be arsed to learn a manual.

If you want to drive a manual you have to learn how to do so.

If you don't you don't have to.

But you can't legally drive a manual with the automatic license.

well people can for sure start on the heat soak by removing the blanking plate on the intercooler lol. Can't wait to see what people do with the RS'es over the next few years. great cars! Just hope they finally fixed that engine... let me remind you that matt's ecoboost mustang exploded after a month.

that's my point. You need a manual license over there and I assume you have to be trained by someone in order to get it. here it's every man for himself. You either find someone to teach you or you learn it yourself like I did. But nothing is stopping you from just hopping in a manual car and being terrible at it on the roads with other people. it's perfectly legal for someone with 0 knowledge of a manual car to be driving one here.

Thats rare man xD The steering column is generally fairly chewed up on most of them.

The opposite is also true when it comes to saab owners trying out other cars. The center console was scratched in our old suzuki because of it.

As long as its 12v and fits in the spot its supposed to fit in i don't think you'll have any battery issues

thankfully you can get the hang of a manual pretty quickly xD If it was model T controls i'd imagine the roads being paved with the bones of the dead by the end of an evening.
