Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

i got a question, again relating to clay barring a car. is it ok to still clay bar a car, even if it hasn't been washed and looks stupid dirty? because i got nothing to do so i was wondering if i can clay bar even when i haven't washed the van, so i can clay bar that and use my time.

clean the car super well. As best you can. then clay it. then seal/wax it.

I also learned about a month ago that claying all the time can be bad for the paint because of it's tendency to pick up stuff and cause scratches. So clay it only when necessary.

I mean, it'd be rude to deny a gift, but I'd prefer not really receiving one in the first place.

A clay bar is not a soap. It won't be effective if there is unnecessary contamination between it and the clear, and you'll end up burning through the clay bar faster than necessary.

Always wash before clay bar and keep it lubricated.

im with you on exchanging gifts. it almost seems to cause trouble sometimes. That moment when someone gets you a nicer gift than what you gave them makes you feel terrible....

When you can't afford an rx 480, should you really be thinking about cars? Especially sports cars?......:(

I just feel bad for people spending money on me in general. If anything I would prefer a book or a cool mug. Both are relatively inexpensive and will get lots of use, I don't like the idea of not using someone else's money to its fullest extent.

thanks guys, letting me know about that. i was asking because it's pouring outside, and i just wanted to claybar the van just so i can make use of my time. maybe i could've just let it sit outside of the rain and soap it down, then dry it and claybar it.
