Did your parents like anime and/or video games?

My parents are probably going to be different from the norm (comparatively to this forum at least) as they've both lived in Japan for 10+ years (11 years for mother and 25+ years for father) so in terms of anime, they have both watched it. My mother's childhood also involved a lot of Doraemon. I know that before my sister and I were born, my parents had a Nintendo console and they would play it every night so when they were younger meaning they both liked playing video games when they were younger. 

My mother still sometimes watch anime movies with my sister and does play mobile games but my father on the other hand does neither.

Nope to all.  Though, both had no issue with me wanting later on to play video games or watch anime (I was not into those until around the age of 15).  My first introduction of anime was Toonami on Cartoon Network when I stayed at my granparents' house (where my parents live is no cable TV).  Hehe, not necessarily anime, but who here remembers Reboot?  Ok, I am really showing a bit of my age with that one.
