HAMP fan Question

UnaverageVague

I have one exhaust fan plugged into the HAMP header and one fan plugged into the regular Chassis header why does the HAMP header fan show 100-200 more RPM than the chassis header?

Fan speeds will vary from fan to fan, most have a +/-10% RPM range.

so it has nothing to do with the header I plugged it in?

also should I plug the fan into the Chassis 2 instead of the HAMP?

The headers could be using different fan curves. If they're using the same settings, it's probably due to normal fan speed variance.

There's no difference asides from H_AMP being capable of supplying more power.

The HAMP header is just a high amperage header on the board and it shouldn't affect anything if all the settings are the same in the fan curve. You can test by swapping the fans from the regular chassis header with the HAMP header to see if the fan still runs faster.

@W-L @WoodenMarker I'll take your guy's words for it I personally don't even feel like doing cable management over again just to get the same results thanks for the replies tho guys
