He is planning on a top fan too.

 

Looks like it wont fit based on this image: 219283.68bf1a20a631f971aea975db3d4e1340.

Or he could just rotate it in a normal configuration too I guess.

Thought he meant another fan mounted on the case in addition to the Noctua.

Yeah that's definitely what he meant, I was simply being sarcastic. Rotating the cooler 90º will allow for top fans to be installed
