Assassin's Creed Origins - Edutainment mode

Today sees the release of a new “discovery tour” for Assassin’s Creed Origins, and it feels like it was designed specifically for players like me. A completely separate mode, the educational tour does away with the violence and story that are at the core of Origins, and instead gives players a guided look at the realities of ancient Egypt, where the game takes place. It’s sort of like one of those audio tours in museums — except here you can climb a pyramid or ride a boat down the Nile while you learn.

This is super cool, especially for my son. He has ASD, and he likes to play games, but not the way they where designed to be played, he simply likes to roam around and find different animals so this mode is perfect for him, plus he might just learn something ???

Anyways I didn’t see anyone post this, and thought maybe someone would find this cool who maybe stopped playing it cause they where done or board with it.

That's because its been highly advertised by the developer and publisher already. Plus someone had mentioned this mode a long time ago long before its release.

Pretty cool stuff. I actually did not know about this. Is it polished or is it like their other recent releases

I heard about this when the game was announced - honestly I'm glad they added this mode. It's a very interesting development. It could be a very useful tool in certain forms of Education.

I just started the tour but so far it’s neat, you can tour as a bunch of different characters and the narrator seems smart

would be nice to have a separate game of sorts for this mode as well, perhaps as an 'education package'

I would appreciate a standalone package, with all the violence and mature themes removed, available at a discount w/ bulk pricing, for schools, educational institutes, libraries, etc.

Bonus points for a VR mode.

So long as the information is actually correct.  The amount of documentaries I have encountered that make erroneous claims is alarming.  I don't really trust a game company to be any more accurate.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

It’s a pity the schools and libraries need supercomputers to run this game well

That's an F in the profile pic

Censoring the statues is like Facebook deleting that photo of the holocaust girl... pointless. Ubisoft tries, but that's all they ever do

Please tell me this is a joke :( The statue censoring, ok I guess, do what you like. But are we really coming to the point where even historical art needs to be modified to be whatever-friendly?

It looks like a pretty game though. I'm not sure if I'm going to play it yet or not though.

I blame Ubisoft. The game is rated 17+ which allows naked breasts (probably not genitals though) and the redrawing of historical art is either ideological or virtue signaling.

I was a bit interested, but now that Ubisoft as shown they're true colours, that interest is dead gone
