Old and New GPUs in one system?

I have 2 polaris RX 4 series cards on my mining rig.

will I get any problems if I try to add in a 7970?

Using AMD Blockchain Beta Drivers.

I doubt the 7970 to be profitable. It's not efficient enough.

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

No, it will work as long as you got the PCIe lanes for it (you should). 

as mentioned above though, you probably have to be getting free power for it to earn a profit.

I think you might even lose money with that card, that was a power hungry beast, To answer your question, I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
