laptop Laptop for engineering

Hi, i'm looking for a laptop preferable ultrabook or 2 in 1, with 12 to 16 gb of RAM, 250 SSD, no dGPU but a good CPU from 13" to 15.6", i dont care about the noise but i do about the weight.

if its posibble under 900-1000 USD.

Dell Inspiron series are mostly mediocre (except for Inspiron Gaming and some 17 inch series)

Mediocre in what aspect? built quality?

Build quality is OKish, however most of them cheaped out in battery life. Price also slightly overpriced.
