By bar do you mean the vertical portion of the stand -- which will be gone?

no the part connected to monitor that can't come off

The very first review when you scroll down has a guy who mounted 2 of them and there is no part that doesn't come off??

no so the connector for the normal stand to the monitor , the part that stays on t he monitor is in the middle of the vesa
