Big fan/Small Heatsink or Small fan, Big heatsink?

Xa3phod

Building an FX-4100. Its leftover stuff, I figure its good for a spare computer. I have two fan/heatinks  I can put on.

So...big fan, small heatsink or Small fan, big heatsink? Both Coolmaster. I won't be overclocking. The other difference, the big heatsink with the small fan has a copper core. The other one is all aluminum. And no, the fans aren't switchable.

(Yes, I know they are dirty. Been sitting in an open box in my back room for years.)

Use the one with the copper core.

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

Best of both worlds take the largest possible heatsink and install the larger fan onto it for the best possible cooling potential.
