Looking for a specific mechanical keyboard.

Linus_is_a_Badass

My problem with a lot of mechanical keyboards are the scoops in the keys that plant your fingers. They make the keyboards s**t at typing. 10 keyless or not doesn't matter to me. RGB and programmable buttons are a huge plus.  Any type of switch that isn't a black sounds cool by me. And what would really drive home the keyboard is if it was similar to the logitech k120 configuration. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

If you already have a keyboard

just buy keycaps for it

Even then most keyboards have those so just buy a keyboard that you think is nice and then buy keycaps

My life

I don't know why I would put different key caps on a four year old k120. And I can't find any full set of typing keycaps for cherry switches on top of that being a way more expensive way to go around this. The g710+ is definitely a consideration, thanks.

hey there :)

first of all you can only replace keycaps on mechanical keyboards so unfortunately you dont have that option.

between the two keyboards you posted they feature different key switches. This means the typing experience will be different between the two. There is no "superior" choice, it largely comes down to preference.

The two types are

Cherry MX Blues

Cherry MX Blacks

on this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009C98NPY?tag=linus21-20

The differences being

Blue Switches:

Clicky Feeling

Clicky Sound

Black Switches:

Clicky Feeling

Quiet Sound
