Please suggest a home theater for my setup.

Preferably from a global brand/ easy to find. I have 1080p TV and it only has 1 HDMI, analog signal ports for L/R audio and video along with cable tv, 1 or 2 USB.

I am using a Roku Express. Is it possible to fit a surround sound setup with the given hardware or could I at least get an upgrade from the in-built speakers of the TV? what would said upgrade be? I am a noob in these matters. Please help.

Roku express doesn't have surround audio output and relied on the output from the hdmi.

You mau want to connect the TV to a dedicated sound amplifier that support dts passthrough.

Below example :

 

The connections : Roku -hdmi-> Audio Decoder -hdmiout->TV

from the audio decoder you can connect the 5.1 speaker.
