Cheap Turntables

I was wondering where i can find a working turntable dirt cheap, like $5-$20, so I was thinking goodwill or craigslist, i've seen listings on craigslist as low as $50, which is more than i want to pay, so does anyone have any ideas or have any experience buying turntables from goodwill? i saw a post on reddit about a guy finding a working Technics SL-D20 (i might be wrong on the model) for $8. Was this guy just really lucky or is this a common thing? Thanks in advance for any help.

Also looking at ebay there are plenty for under 20 bucks

ok thanks, i guess craigslist in my area is not an option just because i live in a relatively new area of town that is also a nice area of town so the only ones within 10 miles are expensive ones, the cheapest ones were probably like $300 new so they are still $50, i also might be getting a Marantz that was my grandfather's and his wife when he died got it because we did not want it at that time because vinyls had not come back yet, if she still has it laying around i might get it, it was a really nice one that was like $2,000 new so hopefully i get it but, its always good to have a backup.
