Yes its possible, yes its been done, it is alot of work. I'm fairly sure the engine should bolt into the mustang k-member providing you have a GT car, the length will get you the most. Its been done a few times, you dont really gain much in the way performance wise honestly unless you are comparing stock engines to stock engines. Cooling and accessory drive clearances will be an issue.

 

There was a killer build thread on theturboforums 5+ years ago and i believe on modmotormustangs (maybe corral.net) on a couple of people doing the V10 swap into them.

Or just buy the V8 and get a good exhaust :P I doubt a truck engine sounds that good anyway.
