Is a curved monitor good for csgo, etc?

Calypsy

a curved monitor isnt better or worse, its just different.

its like people swearing by 4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 21:9, and so on.

all of it, eventually, comes down to preference.

Bluntly, you're going to be better off visiting a shop where they have curved TVs and monitors and the like setup where they can be viewed and demonstrated.  See if you like it or not.  I've never found curved screens to be amazing compared to a flat panel, but I have friends that swear they'll never buy anything else now.  It's all completely subjective to the person viewing it.

I believe that most curved monitors have a 4ms response time, compared to most flat panels 1ms response time. Quite frankly I would shocked if anyone could notice the difference.

CS:GO players think they can see the difference between 200fps and 210fps on a 60hz monitor.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

For CSGO and other fast paced shooters probably nothing major. You are looking at center of screen 90% of time. Maybe it can help you to spot something at corners.

For more cinematic games I could see big difference in immersion.
