Thinking of taking a job.... advice to look up?

I’m thinking of taking a job with a company. It’s in a foreign country so obviously I looked up the laws and living standards and whatnot. 

 

What I’m curious is if there’s any way to research companies. For instance you can search teachers with rate my professor. How would you look up a company’s ownership, and track record? Any general advice to looking up companies?

It’s an Asian company. I want to keep the specific one private but it is Asian.

I was curious is there were specific sites that collected information on companies. I did google the company but was hoping someone might know how to get more information about its registration and who owns it. 

The company was registered in the USA.

@JayKay3000 thanks for the advice! I actually have the position I’m just curious if there’s more to learn about companies that wouldn’t be on their website.
