Flip phones with low radiation

Hello. A member my family wants to buy a flip phone (no smartophone or sth else, only flip phone).
The only characteristic he wants is low radiation.

 

 

What are the flip phones that have the lowest radiation?

Any phone will be fine. Various people have been studying for years and haven't found any issues with mobile phones.

 

You're more likely to suffer from microwave radiation from your kitchen microwave (which outputs hundreds of times more radiation)

I do not personally care and I know that this is true. Buy if someone believes that about radiation, you cant change his mind (my family member).
What about the sar values? They differ for smartophones or also for flip phones?

well, if the phone connects to a tower it will be the same if you're using a smartphone or a flip phone. the only difference would be 4G. anything else connection wise is the same network protocol and thus the same radiation.

As it is generally accepted that it's not an issue, you're going to really struggle to even find any published values for how much phones emit. Generally, higher generation phones use more power. If you find a phone without 4g and maybe even without 3g, you'll be better, but that's about all you can work on

There could be issues though depending on where the OP lives.  Some network providers here in the US are shutting down the older networks to use the bands for new 4G and 5G deployment. So, the OP's family member could be screwed. Verizon about 2 years ago said they wanted to shut down their 3G network with in about 3 or so years, to make room for their 5G network. So depending on where the OP lives, 3G and 2G might not be a option or an option much longer. I have a feeling many providers across the world are going to do the same thing. As there is a limited amounts of Wireless bands that can do cellular transmission.

If a low frequency spectrum is used, wouldn't that mean less power is required to achieve similar range? Though, I don't know of any paranoid-approved smartphones that operate in the 700MHz frequency band.

Depends on what network you need it for. The second one says all GSM networks. Is the network that the phone needs to work on CDMA or GSM?

both are appropriate for my country. 

But the truth is that i dont knw the second's one brand and my relative was afraid that it has more radiation than the former.  (ok, I know that you may disagree but that is what he thought.)

What do you think?

In the end all this shit is made in China. I've never owned eaither brand. So I'd look at the reviews and decide from that.
