cryorig h7 fitting problems

PotatoSauce

So today, most of the items I've ordered came in early this week, And when I was trying to fit my new cryorig h7 cooler into my Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 MoBo, it doesn't seem to want to fit. I wonder if anyone else with the same motherboard was able to fit a cryorig h7? Also, I'd appreciate if anyone can give me any recommendations for a good CPU cooler for the motherboard I currently have, my current budget is $40.

sorry, it took long I had to reassemble it as I was really pissed off not being able to fit it in. but the problem is that the two crossbars aren't wide enough to go into the screws, I followed the instructions given to me by the manual, and I even watched youtube videos to try and figure out what i did wrong

Have you tried adjusting them? Are you using the correct mounting for AM3 sockets?

yes, I'm using the mounts that they've given me, as I don't have any other mounts since I've been using the stock cooler for a long time.

Then there shouldn't be much of a problem, unless there is something on the motherboard interfering with the cooler.

I really don't know why it isn't fitting, to be honest. I bought the cryorig h7 because supposedly PcPartPicker said it was 'compatible.' also I wasn't able to find a topic on the use of cryorig h7 on my MoBo, so I went on and bought it. But I should have picked the cooler master hyper 212 Evo since everyone with the same MoBo as me was using that.

You have the bracket on the cooler wrong. The "arms " should be hugging the heatpipes.
