Google Maps

Canada EH

Placement of post could be graphics category, could be programs.

I got a few questions on Google Maps

Running onboard graphics, messing around with Google Maps in Street View in Turbo, Columbia (South America) oceanside road.

1) Does anyone else just randomly pick a spot to Street View then "drive" along the street looking at people and stores?

Sometimes I will go to exotic locations or just view my neighborhood and see if I can spot myself or my truck.

2) Would a graphics card speed up the "movement" between clicking on the road to "move" the view?

I would say your internet connection would be a bigger factor as most modern iGPUs should be able to handle that.

It takes 0.5 seconds for the image to move, and another 0.5 seconds for the image to be clear.

Was hoping for smoother and faster.

I just went around some small town in Indiana, but I am also planning a trip by bicycle so I do a lot of from/to here routes pinned. I just dont know which way I should go, along trans canada or south.

1. Yes.  Also playing geoguesser can be fun.

2. Almost completely connection dependent.

I like that game, I remember playing it once years ago.

I tried it twice just now, and I nailed one by finding a store. Another was license plate.

Yes I do, also maps like such are mainly just image compilations that's why it 'zoom's' with a blur like appearance because those frames don't exist.

yeah, so it just snaps 360 degrees every so often, and lots of times there are blurry spots.

Be cool if there was an program or app that could d/l a section of the map for instant viewing.
