Problem with the poll you can only like FP club or dislike it. There's no middle ground. My biggest problems have been days of dual uploads to FPC and Youtube but asides from CES content that seems to have gone down a bit.

i agree just a little bit, i expected some "top secret FP only" videos :P

yeah, that's one of the additional perks but normally they aren't much. The FPC exclsuive vlogs about what they are trying to work on have died off a lot. Last thing we got was constant youtube live failures about the tampons vs pads thing. 9_9

There's a build in poll functionality in the LTT Forums. I know you stated this, but I'd think it's better to give the developers a better insight as to what specific features you'd want in order to use it.

 

As far as the poll goes, I'm all for FPC.

That external poll site sucks. Even surveymonkey is nicer... despite that, have filled it in.

It looks like it was made to look nice, not to give a good user experience. Unfortunately not an unusual occurrence in the world we live in.

Yeah. I know on the Discord there are more people that don't have Floatplane than the ones that do but still.... thats a lot.

I already paid them monthly 10$ because idk why. So it made 0 difference to me. I think for them, it's a great decision, especially with all that youtube is doing to try to commit seppuku. 

I think I started donating forever ago (when forum donation probably mattered more to their bottom line) because I agreed with Linus's potential to bring an enthusiasm for PCs and tech to a young audience, and I supported that. I didn't ever think reviews were particularly in depth or of use to me. Some years later they're doing exactly that, and I'm happy with how they've grown.

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Been meaning to do more of those. Just been really busy lately. We always do this to ourselves "hey weve got some extra time... i know lets do two on location shoots ina single week. Brilliant"

when you finally have some spare time, double booking is the best way to fill it xD

Also while I love the idea of floatplane and may eventually get in for the sake of supporting the channels I love, I don't have the money now and seeing videos beforehand doesn't do much for me. I'm fine with waiting, personally, but that's just me

Of course you'd still need paid membership (Zero ad's on FPC and they host it themselves. LMG needs money off it somehow.).

 

Right now the biggest problem IMHO is they removed the 1 year sub option where you pay in full for a year and get a small discount for doing so. Luke said that option will be brought back when the actually website goes up since right now it's handled only by Paypal I think. I know they are getting an actual payment processor though and that alone is worth it.
