Where can I preorder this?

So, Im going to do a Ryzen 5 2400G Build for an Office, but I cant find it anywhere because it releases until Feb 12 (in 5 days). Since we are so close to launch, where can I preorder it?

Also, where can I get a NEW A12 9800 APU too.

Preordering can ensure that you get stock and don't have to wait or pay a big price. Not sure if its necessary but that is what it is for.

You would need a dGPU, ecause Ryzen cant output to a monitor itself, which, if I selected an RX 550 2GB or a GT 1030 it would run up to 210 or 220 Euro.

Just let me be happy with my APU server please. Its not going to do anything else but upload data to a NAS

I don't think you will find it cheaper than a ryzen 2200g. The 2200g is supposed to launch at $99.

Edit: you can order it from frys through Google express and use a 20% off coupon: GOSHOP20

Stock photo is for threadripper. Ignore that

Sure. Big chain on the west coast. Are you sure it's worth the $12 savings over the ryzen 2200g?

Why don't you buy a low powered ATOM / J series motherboard cost the same as a R3 1200 for the whole system (cpu+mobo+gpu).

For home nas that should be enough. Prioritize on low power consumption as it will be on 24-7.

AMD APU is old tech and power hungry as it use 24/32 nm fabrications.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

Id use the A12 9800E, its 35W and is based on Excavator v2, 28nm and way less power consumption than older generations, it released in 2017. Or the standard, more powerful A12 9800, 65W

I have this "need" of doing a build with the A12 9800 APU. I just want to run some benchmarks, I want to see the cores run on tandem and, I never owned a Bulldozer-Based Chip. So, its going to be interesting, and since its actually going to do something, its not a waste of money. Besides, I want to see one of the original Wraith Coolers. Also, it released in 2017 and uses a 28nm Excavator v2 Architecture with 8 GCN 3 Compute Units

Wouldnt a GT 1030 or RX 550 also be overkill compared to the APU your quoting?

https://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=8

Can get a 710 for $20 or a 730 for $30 on EVGA site.

Edit: Reading later posts if possible the Ryzen Chips with GPU built in will be much better not sure when there launching there recently announced.

But a Ryzen and $20 GPU is still way better then going bulldozer. Unless your finding it used and much cheaper no point.
