The Galaxy J5 Pro is a same-priced alternative. Better camera, modern SoC and AMOLED screen (though it does have less memory).

Hopefully OP can stay on target with regards to budget and purchase timeframe. Just because new phones appear at MWC doesn't mean they go into public availably anytime soon.

It is because the TS is looking for a phone at that price range. At the size of the J5 Pro, the 720p isn't a big disadvantage. It is sharp enough for most people (ppi not far from the iPhone 8), the contrast is top-notch, and it helps in keeping frame rates high (despite the midrange SoC).

And I'm not a power user (with my phone anyways), so if it's not the fastest chip that's fine.

Nobody ever said that the A1 is a poor option. I like how it has a good amount of RAM and is in the Android One program. Its main downside is the under-performing camera (especially under low light).

Some people are saying that the SD430 is bad, but I've watched some reviews and it's about as fast, if not faster than my iPhone 6, which is perfect.

Nokia 3 has the Mediatek 6737 while Nokia 5 & 6 has SD 430 but 6(2018) has 630!
