My case fan isn't working the way it's supposed to

Kelp Fries

Hello, my case fan is making a strange grinding noise and it looks like it's about to die, is there a way to fix this or should I get a new fan?

I would guess a bad bearing. You can take them apart and fill it with WD 40 to unstick the bearing but it will likely happen again. Fans aren't expensive nor are they hard to replace.

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.

This is really a 50/50 shot, since some fans don't allow easy access to the bearing, and those that don't will likely get killed trying to pry the blades off.
