So much of my stuff around me is used. The SSDs in my laptop are used, the RAM is used. My bike I ride every day was bought used, and most of the tools I use every day had previous owners. 

 

High quality, used products are a fantastic way to save a buck. Chances are that dewalt power tool still has plenty of life in it compared to the harbor freight one for the same price. 

There's an obvious difference between buying a cheap product from a Chinese no-name company and buying a used product from a reputable brand. 

 

My point still stands. Quality comes at a price. But you can get good deals in the used market sure. But the previous owner still paid for the quality.  

 

Half of the stuff in my apartment I bought from someone else. And I got more for my money than I would have gotten if I bought cheap knockoffs.
