Tech videos that make people mad you say?

If so, those are rookie numbers:

@Misanthrope I'm fairly sure I've seen that video before... But generally as a rule people get mad when people break tech, hence why people have done it... Xbox Xbox 360 etc...

Also Youtube's response about Linus's video was epic xD

Linus literally got an entire demographic that barely watches his company's videos... to watch his company's videos. He should get an award.

Problem is that demographic only last for a few days a month xD

So women are showing again that they're impossible not to piss off.

I honestly wish people would stop wasting their time with this garbage that doesn't matter. The video was harmless and not an attack on anyone.

While most people went after Linus about the naming I don't agree on buying then returning something like a female hygiene product w/o returning it(if not possible to return it repay for it as he is not a she and he is not local either), this is because it's technically a necessity for women once a month. If they had dozens of packages on display it wouldn't be much of a issue to me or most, but that shelf only had 3 with the ability to only hold 4. Simply put It only takes now 2 females with a emergency(or casually buying) on their hands to empty those shelves, while they likely have more in stock we can only assume they don't as we can't see the back.

So no the video didn't attack anyone, but it was imo far from harmless, due to lack of stock and his actions in the video, like I stated in the videos forum post he could have used literally anything else including that diet Snapple or that kale sandwich he bought, leaving the pads out of the video...

I'd also like to point out one thing, if the law wanted to make something of this and could prove the goal was to go to amazon go (plotting) and steal pads (or anything with or without permission to them it's stealing and linus would have to prove with a written letter from amazon otherwise), it could put whoever was in that trip down in legal jeopardy, including possible deportation. While unlikely, doing something like this still could lead to charges. Dumber things have happened for far less...

Don't worry, I watched Linus' 27-minute response so you don't have to (TL;DR at the bottom).

The whole time they were there, an Amazon employee followed them to answer questions and explain the tech. The reason they "stole" tampons (really sanitary pads tho) was because they had permission from Amazon to demonstrate the returns system for Go. So no crime was committed.

Originally his idea was to "steal" extra-small condoms as a self-deprecating joke, but the store didn't sell condoms. So, he got a feminine product instead, and since he knows his wife prefers pads over tampons, he grabbed the pads so his trip would at least be useful. He used tampon in the title because it's waaay more search-friendly and eye-grabbing than "pads," which could mean a whole host of items. All that came from Linus himself.

TL;DR he took pads but used "tampon" for SEO purposes and had permission from Amazon to refund them and still take them.

I know all this as I watched the video, the issue is those videos (3) are "hidden" on YT so if they were lazy cops or want to do a thorough job and be picky they still could press charges which then can be dismissed in court upon Amazons statement stating what Linus said in his 30 minute video ;) It's really a matter most wouldn't dare to push. As everything is hearsay till it's on paper/tape on/from all parties, so if amazon got too much hate and police did get involved Linus could be denied such writing claiming no knowledge of his plans on returning the item (which could still be the case as they were following him in store but not necessarily out of it where he "technically" stole it by returning it), hence being charged.

Like I said in the other topic if Linus followed a few simple questions this video would have been completely different but no less entertaining. Sure he got the views but boy did he get the hate with those views. That said, I'm happy I'm not a flocking idiot(not swearing using the f word literally), needing my tendy video fix daily...
