Pros and cons of using a TV as your display?

Pros:

 

-Often has more ports and features for connecting more devices or actually doubling the TV as a TV, saving you some space and some money from only having to use one display

 

-Great used market for them

 

Cons:

 

-Overscanning issues. Even if your GPU software has an overscan correction setting, it can cause a slight noticeable loss in quality. I find it's less noticeable for video or gaming than it is for text though. Some TVs will give you the option to fix this on the settings of the TV itself which may give better results but not all of them have this option.

shit response times, too large for anything but couch gameing usiually and most of what you find is 1080p or 4K. also colors are either complete crap or over saturated

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I found tinkering with the resolution (I think I tried using 1776x1000 or something like that at one point with good results) can also help fix overscanning issues with better results than changing the overscan settings.
