1. Ensure you have the latest windows updates. (if you use windows... if you use linux everyday odds are you wont be asking this question lol)

 

2. Update your BIOS to a version that fixes it. If you have an old computer, you may unfortunately not get an update (like a lot of Z77 people like me who are completely screwed) in which case you need to upgrade your system.

 

3. make sure your web browsers are up to date, and if you use chrome, turn on site isolation.

Use a new chip. Older ones dont have BIOS update support so Meltdown is unsolvable.
