[HELP] Carrying PC parts through Airport Security

loubot1

Hi, so next week I'll be flying back home for a few days before going back to my current place, and I'm planning on sending my PC via Royal Mail and taking some parts with me to avoid damage. I'll be taking my GPU and HDD with me using hand luggage at the airport, and I'm just wondering if I'll be able to get away with it? I don't want to take the risk and get £350 taken off of me at the airport.

Also, would it be okay to put my PC in the box it came in to send it? Or would I be better off finding another box that would fit that one inside and filling it up to make sure it doesn't get damaged? My main concern with posting it in its original box is that it's plastered with information about a computer, or a case at least, putting it at a higher risk of being stolen.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help or advice!

try to contact the airport and ask them about the rules.

maybe you have to request somekind of licence/permission to take it with you.

Awesome. A smuggler thread. I love it. Hiding the thing in your bladder or stomach isn’t an option so I guess hide in your pants
