By the way, I am starting to have a suspicion that this may actually be caused by a Grammarly add-on in the browser. I will try to use it for several days and then disable it to see if the issue goes away.

Brilliant, thanks. The output of the command was unfortunately not all that enlightening (though that in itself is helpful), but the other logs there do suggest that Grammarly could be the issue.

@Jurrunio do you happen to use Grammarly?

When typing long comments separated into multiple lines, using the 'enter' key occasionally causes the text on the last section to completely disappear, forcing me to type the whole thing all over again. This happens especially often when trying to add lines to long paragraphs that I typed by staring at the keyboard only for a whole minute. Any cause? I know it's neither my keyboard nor my system since I get this on my PC (specs below) with Google Chrome, as well as my phone, an LG V20 using Adblock Browser (which is based on Firefox)

I guess the moderators keep their comments concise at any time so they never notice the issue?

You didn't get a response because I was initially waiting for more people to reply, to see how widespread the issue is, then take it from there. Nobody else did reply, and it looks like I then forgot about it :/ (I did reply in the first topic though, but you didn't answer my question).

Does it happen after pasting content, or can it occur when just typing from an empty editor?

Usually when I am quoting someone but sometimes it happens even if I start typing to an empty editor (rarely). IDK why but lately it was not nearly as a big of an issue for me as it used to be, I was frequently experiencing this issue multiple times a day before but now it sometimes wont occur during an entire week (I am not nearly as active on forums as I used to be though).

EDIT:

I found the bug report topic I started in which you replied but I have not noticed even though I followed it, sorry.

I've tried before, and again today, but I can't seem to reproduce it. Can you see if you can find a way to reliably reproduce it? If not, can you point out a couple of posts where this has happened and what had been written in the editor at the time that the problem occurred?

I had a video of the issue but I was cleaning my YT channel and its gone now, Ill see if I still have it somewhere but I have to leave for work now so if I wont forget I will reply way later. Or I will try with my phone if I get a good connection.

So I found the video on my phone and I actually have nice and fast connection on LTE while waiting on a bus stop... so here it goes

CTRL+Z works for returning the text back but I can't do any new paragraph so in order to post it as I intend to I have to CTRL +A, CTRL+C, close page (refresh won't help), open again, reply, CTRL+V, finish typing, post.

Next time it happens to anyone, can you Ctrl+Z to undo it so it's in the state it was in before it disappeared, then right click on the text in the editor (doesn't matter what part of the text) and click "inspect" (or "inspect element" in some browsers). It should open the dev tools with a line highlighted. Without clicking any other lines in the inspector, switch to the Console tab and enter

$($0).parents(".cke_wysiwyg_div").html()

It should output some text. Copy that output, and paste it into a code tag in this topic (<> in the editor toolbar).

I've contacted Grammarly support about it, so hopefully they're able to find and fix the issue.
