So it seems Google updated their emoji, again

So the new ones suck, I rarely use them for anything other than memeing with thinking emoji, but can't do that anymore, since they changed them into literal cancer (not sure if I can write this according to the guidelines, but here goes), anybody who know a way to get the older ones back without a root (if possible). The thinking emoji was usually pretty banter etc. Now it's just crap and unmemeable

When OSX wants to use them, and a certain forum automatically changes to them, it's hard to not care what the shit looks like.

Not only Apple, when writing on messenger they correct all smileys like : ) : ( etc. to emoji's. I don't really care either, except for the thinking emoji, which I use for memeing as stated above

Don't have them on my phone. You don't prefer the standard circle/faces over the previous android ones that are like rock heads?

 

Is that on like Oreo? My phone is on Nougat 7.1.2. (I'm also rooted though... I am using GBoard (Google Keyboard) so I imagine it might hit in a upcoming GBoard update...)
