  1. 1. Which of these wall mount monitor arms is the better deal & long term investment?

*UPDATE: Turns out there isn't a stud directly behind my monitor after all even though the stud finder detected one there the other day. So I either need to mount a long 2x4 on the wall that stretches between them or try mounting 1 of these arms to the desk somehow.

I'm trying to decide between these 3 different wall mount monitor arms. I know the kind that clamps to the desk is easier to re-position, but the back of my desk has a 2x4 running sideways & there are no clamp based Vesa arms that can reach around 6+ inches of wood. I currently have a 19" 900p Acer V206HQL but someday will upgrade to a 27" 1080p IPS, VA or OLED.

The last one hold cant hold as much weight (as in, the counter weights and spring in it wont hold something up heavier than that most likely) and according to some reviews the AMAZON Basics is basically a copy of the Ergotron

Thank you & that's a shame, I liked the 3 year warranty on that one.

Probably the reason the warranty is longer ;)
