My iPS panel doesn't look quite as colorful as i expected it to be

Please read first, this is not a troll. I use lg23mp68vq for a while now because i heard in lots of reviews that it's very good so i bought it, and i noticed that the color is not as good as i expected but i let that slide. However, when I start comparing it to my phone, tv or even school computer's monitor, the color of this monitor looks very dull in comparison to those. Is there anything wrong with my monitor?

chances are its not calibrated to have the proper color spaces tuned for it.

Check your driver settings and change them from Limited RGB to Full RGB if it has that option.

This or the default color profile is already very wrong. It can be easily changed in the OS, whereas calibration requires specific device, that often costs a lot and needs some knowledge.

Its a budget IPS panel and u wont clearly be able to tell the difference unless u are comparing it side by side.

Try to tinker with the monitor color settings it might help.

It is rated at less than 90% SRGB so

1) its LCD,

2) Your TV , if LCD, is likely a VA panel, which has punchier colors thanks to beter contrast and black levels vs IPS and TN, which make up the bulck of monitors.

3) Its a 'cheaper' monitor

4) You may be running ur PC in RGB Limited mode, try YCBCR 444 or RGB Full.
