h100iv2 rattling sound?

okay so all of sudden i hear rattling sound coming from my h100iv2. and i had this pump for more than 5 mnths now. its great. my temperature on idle is 25c and while gaming 65-70c max. so temperatures aint a problem. i wanna know whats with this rattling sojnd when i set the fans in my pump to quiet i dont have hear them at all but if i put them balanced or fast the ratfling comes back.

You made it sound like that you were referring to slowing down your pump.

If you're talking about the fans mounted to the radiator, check the tightness of the screws, and also any surrounding component.

It could be a bad fan. Out of 3 Corsair AIOs I've had two come with one fan that was off balance. The ones they package with their AIOs are pretty bad.

When you hear the noise, stop the fan briefly with your finger to see if you can isolate the source. If it's from a fan you can try to RMA it but you're probably better off just buying some good fans.

 

If it's not a fan it could be air trapped in the pump. turn up the pump to full speed if it isn't already yet, and tilt the PC in multiple directions to dislodge the bubble, eventually you should be able to get the bubble out of the pump and into the rad where it won't make any noise.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

ok so whenever i put my headset on top of my case where the radiotor is sitting i hear vibration noise? whats that? i opened the top shelf and i tapped the head of my pump and every time i tap i hear the vibration noise again whats that?

does it come from the pump or is it from it sitting on metal or something? I had this problem before with pump I just had to deal with it as there was nothing to do

i know what im going to say is very weird. but when i touch the top of my radiator from any side or corned or even tap gently i hear the noise. like no matter what side i touch from the top i hear it.
