They are a massive business in the UK, they tried to expand into the U.S. and failed.

I'm British, never heard of them apart from some dodgy dealings with used games.

So NCIX is a scam for going out of business too, right?

Pretty much they were always a scam, ripping people off with silly prices.

You clearly haven't been paying attention to them very long, in years past they had the best prices in Canada.

Not a surprise considering they are a storefront based business.

I don't care about Canada. You mentioned how they operate in the UK, that's what I was addressing. By all means though do feel free to prove that people are, right now, getting these 'too good to be true' deals from them.

Please tell me how someone can go to a store, buy a gpu and walk out the door and be scammed along the way.

Then you'll have absolutely no problem proving that they have. So go ahead and prove it. :) Should be simple.

Would be simple if I lived within 1000 km from any of those stores

Even if you don't, those getting these deals, including people from the UK here, should be happily announcing it here, Reddit and so on. So it should be easy to prove. All you need is one person who's just got one of these deals. So it should be simple to prove your claim. Go right ahead. :)

It's a scam.

Not even a little bit. They always sold components at a pretty damn good price.

Now, if those components worked by the time they got to you was always a gamble, but they always sent out merch as promised. They were a great source for dirt-cheap stuff.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Their UK stores are pretty legit, they're probably the largest physical PC component store-chain here (yep, second hand shop is largest...) which actually doesn't say anything :P.

Anyway, apart from how they only do bare minimum testing, they are pretty good plus in the UK, they do honor their warranties here so generally the building community is more than happy to purchase from em, as long as live close to a physical store as people who sells stuff to em seems to love changing RAM and storage labels, heatspreaders or just selling fakes to CEX.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Went by the Houston location over the weekend, everything was 25% off listed price. No deals were better even with that discount than what was on the local craigslist unfortunately.

Never heard of CeX until now. Do they ship? Because everything is showing out of stock for me.
