To see the reply before you actually click on the post, kinda like how it is in the normal forums when you hover over the name of the topic.

I know what preview means. I asked why you need to have it with notifications. For threads it helps to determinate if you want to read topic or not. Only time it would even be usable would be when you are quoted. Maybe tagged. But others it wouldn't work.
