I can't advise, but I'm interested in what they are used for?

Usually for cyber cafe so you wont need to put hard drives to your clients only server will handle the image/os of the clients same with the gamedisks..

Not an expert or 100% sure. But most of the class rooms at my University used some sort of VM ware client. As in, you logged in to VM ware like you would to a domain, though the machine would not save any changes. When I think VMware I think Virtual Machines, and I can say when the network acted funky, those machines didnt work. Not sure if it was a disk less program, but it might have been. I know each classroom had a client machine, though they were normally locked up, not sure what kind of machine was used locally. Just an idea anyway.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Am pretty sure when I was at college /uni that most of the PCs were thin clients. This is back in c1994, and we used to have to ask for more space on the servers ALL the time, as we were computing students and generally had more data needs than other classes, except for CAD maybe, LOL

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.
