components for "new" pc

Hi, i've sold one of my kidneys and im ordering parts for new pc with gpu and hdd/ssd from the one im currently using. I havent build pc's gaming for quite a while so if someone could double check and give some tips what to get instead of what ive tought.

Being the mongo i am i tought that since the mobo would take ny old i5 6600, but z370 only takes 8th gen cpu's, so i tought i would just get i7 8700k. Would that go with that mobo just fine, if im not going to oc it that much or not at all.

case:Fractal Design Define C ATX

cpu fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED
